No its not our normal stock item but was part of our secret stash that has been released to a new custodian.
Registered as a 1968 but I believe it is a 1967 model year car.
Chassis number C-A2S7-10513893A Engine number 9FD-SAL23536 Lucas wiper motor stamped with 67
UK built then sold new in Zambia. Apparently went from Zambia to (then) Rhodesia. Earliest NZ details I have ex Car Jam is registered with this black plate in 1985.
Apparently imported to NZ buy a Power Board manager back in the day. It was his wife's car. May have been imported earlier than 1985, that's just the first date I can see.
Runs & drives great. Little smokey when cold.
Body is good. No evidence of rust ever. Has had minor bang on the front LH corner in the dim dark past. One repaint. Still had red African dust behind the back seat until recently - so car has never been pulled apart. Boot & door jams are original paint.
Original interior. Front seat upholstery is blown out. Carpet is household offcuts. Rear seat, door panels, headliner all original & in good condition.
Odometer show 21,614 miles. Assume 121,614 miles. Car Jam report shows 18,304 (118,304) in May 1995 so this car has done 3,310 miles in the past 27 years.
New front & rear bumpers supplied. This is an honest old car. Not many Coopers are as original as this one.....
